Thursday March 21st, 7 PM at NVIT Lecture Theatre: Stephanie Winton – Research on Rattlers at White Lake
The Western Rattlesnake (also known as the North Pacific Rattlesnake) is listed as a Threatened species in Canada. Roadkill is one of the greatest causes of mortality. Stephanie Winton recently completed her graduate studies at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. Her work involved the effects of roads on the Western Rattlesnake in the White Lake area. Excellent research on an enigmatic and often feared species.
